At the heart of every initiative we undertake lies a deep belief — that no child should grow up without love, guidance, and opportunity. Through Aghosh Homes and our Orphan Sponsorship Programs, we are not merely providing shelter; we are rebuilding lives, nurturing faith, and restoring dignity. Each orphan under our care represents a trust from Allah — a responsibility we hold with sincerity and compassion. We strive to ensure that every child receives quality education, healthcare, emotional support, and the warmth of a family environment. Our vision extends beyond care; it is about empowerment — empowering these children to become confident, educated, and contributing members of society.
At Aghosh Homes, our mission is built upon a simple yet powerful truth — every child deserves love, security, and the chance to dream. What began as a vision to provide shelter and support to orphans has grown into a nationwide movement of care, education, and empowerment. Each day, I witness stories of resilience — children who once faced uncertainty now walking confidently toward bright futures. This transformation is possible because of our dedicated teams, compassionate volunteers, and generous donors who stand with us in faith and purpose.
Founded in the 1970s as a volunteer-led welfare initiative in Karachi, Alkhidmat was formally registered in 1976 as Alkhidmat Welfare Society. Its early work focused on urgent humanitarian needs, including the resettlement of migrants from East Pakistan — often stepping in before state institutions.
During this period, Alkhidmat launched dignity-centered services such as Pakistan’s first organized Mayyat Bus Service and mobile clinics providing affordable, quality healthcare. These initiatives laid the foundation of public trust and compassion-driven service.
