Since 1976, Alkhidmat Foundation has delivered structured humanitarian support across Pakistan through healthcare, education, disaster response, orphan care, water access, and livelihoods. Backed by transparent governance and a nationwide volunteer network, our programs focus on restoring dignity, stability, and long-term self-reliance for underserved communities.

Founded in the 1970s as a volunteer-led welfare initiative in Karachi, Alkhidmat was formally registered in 1976 as Alkhidmat Welfare Society. Its early work focused on urgent humanitarian needs, including the resettlement of migrants from East Pakistan — often stepping in before state institutions.
During this period, Alkhidmat launched dignity-centered services such as Pakistan’s first organized Mayyat Bus Service and mobile clinics providing affordable, quality healthcare. These initiatives laid the foundation of public trust and compassion-driven service.

We should give zakah and establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:110)
If one gives in charity what equals (the size of) one date-fruit from the honestly-earned money and Allah accepts only the honestly earned money –Allah takes it in His right (hand) and then enlarges its reward for that person (who has given it), as anyone of you brings up his baby horse, so much so that it becomes as big as a mountain.
